It is a flatworm but not the type that feeds on corals. The eat biofilm and are pretty harmless. Some people have problems with them if their populations get too large but keeping water quality very good will stop that from happening.

Generally, I determine it by where I find them. If they are crawling around on corals, then I doubt they're good. If they are just on the glass, then they are probably harmless. Typically in aquaria, the little white/cream ones are fine, the little brown ones are potentially bad and the big ones are probably carnivorous.
