Default Strange protrudance from sand bed

Hey all while looking in the tank today I see some strange groupings of clear/white tube like structures coming from the sand bed. They are a in large group of 20 or so and are about a cm or two tall. Any idea what they are and if they should be removed?

Do they move location? Do they wave? Do they appear and disappear? Are they individual or branched?

i have similar things in mine too. But there are lots and lots and lots of creatures in a sand bed. Everyone is right. Pictures would sure help.

Hey guys have been busy this weekend sorry to leave you all hanging with no picture the total area of the tube grouping is about the size of a penny.

Thank you again for the interest and the help hope this makes it easier for everyone to identify.

They do not move much at all maybe a little due to the flow not on their own they always are above the sand bed as seen ion the picture.

I have the identical thing. I also have them like that with little reddish brown tentacles coming out. I bet it's completely safe and a good critter to have in your sand.

Looks like a type of sponge to me. I have a green sponge that looks identical to that, but mine is on rock.

There's lots of worms that look like that. I would bet that's what it is.

With some searching here you can probably find it.
