Now that this frags been growing for a year maybe it can be id'd .. everything i see looks like "redplanet" to me.. color wise anyway...just not sure of the growth pattern. It hasn't grown up at all really....just out... (under t5's btw)
The little green clown goby in the first pic is constantly in it, along with other acro's, and scares the polyps in constantly!

Looks like red planet to me. All the pics ive seen of them they are either all red or red and green. The growing out would go with that too being that RB is tabling.

although, you should give it some more flow so it gets better polyp extension

it'd help it branch out more too!!

although - around here we like to jokingly call them "tierra del fuego" since one online vendor calls their red planets that, and charges double

It had great PE before the goby moved in.. the flow may have decreased because of the red monti though...??? I may be moving it anyway...you got me thinking.............. i need to frag a piece and experiment with location location location....

Holy WOW saltcreep!! What are your lights?? And where is it in your tank? I ask because my red planet quickly lost all of it's green, and when I called ORA to find out which lights they used, well, they were no help at all since they use natural sunlight.

Anyway, I have less lights in my current set up and if they are similiar to yours I may try another frag of it!

Thanks!......Its 6 bars of t5's... All ATI bulbs and individual reflectors...and the coral is about a little more then half way up in the middle... kinda low flow

t-5!! Yes, then I'll try another!! I had mine under 250 watt halides and it was very red!Don't get me wrong it was beautiful, but I like the multicolor of yours!

The green seems to be in the "less" light areas..thats what i'm coming up with on google as a RP characteristic..

My less light areas on mine was tan or light pink... I know it's a planet cause it was green when I got it! Well, that and I was there when it came in from ORA... I'll find a pic- there was no green at all on mine!

That goby may be thwarting the poly extension, but how cool does that look?! Im sure he thought you got that red planet just for him!

I paid $50 for that one...... well if you count up 5 x $10 - 4 gobies= 1 @ $50... they're known for being bad shippers/ adapters..
