A ocellaris breeding journal

I think I have my clowns trapped to where they will have to lay the eggs on my tiles now lol. I wanted to start a journal on here to show everything that I do for the entire process. I'm going to use a journal form from MBIsite.org like what's in my signature. This will cover everything from the micro algae (Nannochloropsis Sp.) that I use to the rotifers (Brachionus plicatilis ) to the grow out. I hope this helps others. Here's a pic of my pair with the tiles around them.



I'll start getting the other things together tomorrow. I get my new nem tomorrow too

If and when my other pair starts to breed I'll start one on them since it's an odd pair with a orange A. ocellaris and a A. ocellaris Darwin (black). It took them a couple of years to actually bond.

Here is the only clown I've even really tried to raise. It's made it through met and has a clearly visible second stripe now.

yep. I'll update the journal and add pics daily from the spawn on. Or at least try to. I've had some long days lately. She should be laying within a few days.

Thank goodness the tiles worked! Here's a video of my clowns starting to clean the tile for some eggs. She's good and fat too!

Well the spawning was sooner than I thought. They laid the eggs some time this evening. ON MY TILE!@!@!@!@@@ That mean I'll be able to pull the tile the night of the hatch and put it in my kreisel.
