New Clown! - Reef-Geeks

I have had my male picasso for a short time, he came from someone with a female picaoos who was picking on this guy so he came to live with me. So, I have been on the lookout for a female for him and I found her! She's one of the best onyx clowns I've ever seen and is absolutely huge. Roughly 3-4 inches. I would love to get some babies out of these guys. I wonder what the babies would look like?

Thanks Mike! Honestly, I have no idea. It came out of some hobbyist's tank that he was breaking down. He brought his stuff into the LFS I work at it so I got to take her home.

Thanks guys! I am very proud of them. They are getting along well. The little male follows her everywhere and she kinda just ignores him. At least she's not beating him up.

Definitely not one of Rod's. I'm guessing it came from Bill Addison's C-Quest line.

Still, great find. Beautiful broodstock. The male has a long way to go before he is mature but if they do couple up and she is not past her prime you just might have some nice looking offspring!

No, they seem to be pretty chill...not aggressive or territorial at all. Not sure if they have paired up but they are not fighting.

LOL. Yeah, we're getting there. I have been feeding this tank heavily to get the filefish plumped up so the male has been eating a ton. He looks like he swallowed a marble. Hopefully all the feedings will allow him to catch up to her in size.

I got a spawn out of these guys last week! They ate the nest, but that is common for new parents. Hopefully I will have baby picassos soon! I can't wait to see how these guys turn out
