Default RBTA yes or no?

hey guys sorry i haven't been around alot lately. been busy, but i need advice. my friend wants to give me one of his 6" RBTA for my new tank setup. my new tank will be softies, lps and some sps. its a 30gallon zero edge with a 250 MH. you think have it in this tank be a bad idea? the corals will be packed! plan on keeping my 2 clowns 1 wrasse and clams.

what ya think?

Hey John. The problem i see is that the anemone is probably going to do some wandering around and if you have corals packed into this tank something is going to get stepped on. You could try it and everything might be ok but murphys law says its going to park itself right on top of your favorite coral.

If corals are already going to be packed and the anemone grows at all it will end up stinging neighboring corals.

I wouldn't do it.

I also agree, and they grow fast if the conditions are right.

Also how do you plan on a lid on the tank for the wrasse?

thanks guys its settled, i also think the RBTA was a bad idea but i wanted to know what ya'll though. if i decide not to pack my tank down with all the corals form my 110 i might go with it but i think i rather the corals.

as for the wrasse... im hoping for the best, 2 clowns and a wrasse not to fight, they get along great in my 110 but then again this is a 30gallon. the 110 is open top and he never tried jumping.

while im here im going to give a tank update. got the new tank in and built the stand. the stand is in staining and finishes coats right now. so im hoping by the end of this month or beginning of jan to have it running. as for the old tank... breackdown is going slow, its hard to decided what coral to sell and keep.

Hey john...in a 30g with other corals and several fish, I'd opt for more corals rather than the anemone...it will move around and it will get big...and it will sting lps and sps...

Yes!!! take all the pics you can before, during and after, and then post them in a new thread...that thread will act as your journal so you always have documentation of what you did ... you'll know what worked, what didn't etc...
