"My name is Mary Donahee, I am a reef tank hobbyist, and I make 5 Star Reef Bar at home in my kitchen. It all started a few years ago when I grew frustrated with the dizzying array of choices available to feed my fish and corals. I was taking up more and more space in the freezer with all the stuff I was trying! And, much to my frustration, I was constantly battling some type of an algae issue. Finally I decided enough was enough and if I was going to remain in this hobby, I was going to make my own food!

Here is where my professional background comes in handy. I am a R&D scientist and as such I have access to a huge data set from published marine biologists. With that in mind I set about to create a very specific recipe to feed, not only my fish, but my corals and invertebrates as well.

For the last 8 years I have been making my own food and feeding nothing but that to my tank, Recently through the urging of some family and friends, I began selling 5 Star Reef Bar to others through my local fish store.

Now, 5 Star Reef Bar is available in 3 retail stores and we are hoping to have it in a store near you soon! Please check out our Store Availability to see if 5 Star Reef Bar is in a local fish store near you."

And yes, it is very much like what you would make at home....in fact that is how I got started doing this. I made it for myself for years after getting totally frustrated with algae issuses and such. Once I started feeding my own fresh food to my tank I never had problems like that again....in fact quite the opposite! I found I needed to start trimming back the corals more often!

Pat, I wouldn't mind talking with the owner of DPA to see if they are interested.

Thanks! I am sad when I watch that video though as I had to take the tank down when I listed my house for sale.
My s/o got me a 25g cube for my birthday in September so I have playing with that. It's small and easy to move when the time comes!
